The 55+Table Tennis Drop-In Program Player Expectations 列治文山市55+乒乓球友注意事項

The following is the 55+Table Tennis Drop-In Program Player Expectations that the program coordinator want to bring to your attention. A copy will be distributed to each centre.


Purpose of 55+Drop-In Programs:
-   Reduce social isolation
-   Build community
-   Increase belonging

General Expectations:
-   Keep the fun in recreational games  
-   Treat the staff and other players how you want to be treated
-   Players of all ability levels are welcome
-   Respect and welcome all participants

Sign-In Process:
-   Arrive no more than 15 minutes before the start time
-   Line up to one side of the hallway if there is a queue
-   All participants must be present in the line (no items to represent people)
-   Everyone must sign in themselves
-   Write your name and membership number clearly on the sign-in sheet
-   Scan your membership card
-   Pay the fee

Program Space:
-   Space is limited; if at capacity, please try a different activity
-   Entry begins 5 minutes before the start time                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        -   No running into the program space; those who sign in first should enter first

During Play:
-   Do not hold a table for someone
-   No paid coaching or lessons during drop-ins
-   You may not always play with your regular friends
-   Be open to meeting new people to build community and reduce isolation
-   Playing doubles is common during bust times
-   Programs are recreational and welcoming to all skill levels
-   After 15 minutes, you may be asked to leave the table for someone waiting to play. Please be gracious
-   By participating, you agree to these expectations
-   The City of Richmond Hill has a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful or rude behavior towards staff and participants
-   Failure to comply may result in membership suspension

2) 對球友的普遍期望
     * 保持消閒樂趣
     * 將心比心善待市府工作人員和球友
     * 歡迎任何球技程度的球友參加
     * 尊重和歡迎所有球友
3) 簽到程序
     * 請在開場前十五分鐘到達
     * 在走廊一邊排隊
     * 所有球友要在場排隊而不是用住何其它物件代表個人
     * 每人都要自己簽到
     * 務必清楚填寫名字和會員號碼
     * 掃描會員卡 並支付費用
 4) 球場額數
     * 球場額数有限。額滿之際,請選用
        其它活動
     * 球友可在開場前五分鐘進入球場
     * 請勿争先恐後,務必遵守先簽到先進場之原則
5) 球場規則
     * 不可為他人留球桌
     * 不可有付費教授球技
     * 有需要之時,要與任何進場之球友打球
     * 要樂以结識新朋友,為消除隔离感和建設社區努力
     * 在繁忙時段,鼓勵雙打
     * 打球運動以消閒為目的,應歡迎所有
        不同程度的球友
     * 打完十五分鐘之後,要隨時禮讓
     * 一旦參與,則表示您同意這些期望
     * 列治文山市府對不尊重和粗魯對待市府工作人員或球友的行為,採取零容忍的政策
     *  不遵守規則者,會員資格可被暫停

A Joyful Potluck Celebration at McConaghy Community Centre

  16th December, 2025 our group gathered at McConaghy Community Centre for a potluck party filled with warmth, laughter, and good food. The timing was perfect—the centre has just completed a renovation, and the changes are immediately noticeable and impressive.
