Welcome Back Members!, Adult 55+ membership

 

Just got the following self-explanatory letter from 
The City of Richmond Hill: 

Dear David,

We are excited to welcome you back to our programs and centres. Thank you for your patience as we gradually reopen.

If you have an Adult 55+ membership that is currently on hold, your membership will be reinstated effective Monday, September 20. This will give you access to register for Fall programs on Tuesday, September 21, for programs that start the week of October 12.

With your Adult 55+ membership you will also be able to reserve drop in program spots starting on Monday, October 4 for drop in programs that start the week of October 12. Reservations and payment must be made online. Punch cards are not currently accepted. Punch cards will be reinstated once restrictions allow and in person admissions can resume.

If you wish to cancel your membership, please email recreation@richmondhill.ca and request a withdrawal / transfer.

The McConaghy Centre is scheduled to reopen in early October. Adult 55+ programs will be taking place at several community centres in Richmond Hill, as they did prior to the pandemic.

We hope you are well and look forward to having you back to programs.

A Joyful Potluck Celebration at McConaghy Community Centre

  16th December, 2025 our group gathered at McConaghy Community Centre for a potluck party filled with warmth, laughter, and good food. The timing was perfect—the centre has just completed a renovation, and the changes are immediately noticeable and impressive. A Fresh, Welcoming Space The newly renovated entrance is wider and brighter , creating a welcoming first impression. Inside, the assembly hall now feels more open and spacious , making it an ideal venue for community gatherings.
