A Friendly Reminder - Table Tennis Recreational Games Tuesday 26 Nov 2013

Oak Ridges Community Centre – Gymnasium
November 26, 2013
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

1. The focus of this event is participation and fun!  The Games will include Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and Mixed Doubles. You may register for both the singles and mixed doubles. There is no fee to enter the tournament but you must have a current 55+ Older Adult membership.

2The format will be based on table play and points so that we can get as many people as possible to participate.
Each participant will be randomly selected to play at a table with 5 other people in Singles play.
All 6 at the table will play one another in 1 game to 11 points.  Each participant will finish the game and be given the points that they received in that game (For example in the first game the winner has 11 points and their opponent received 9 points – these points would be recorded by the score keeper). After everyone at the table has played their fellow participants the person with the Highest Score wins a prize.  Additionally, one person at the same table will receive an Honourable Mention prize.
In Mixed Doubles play the format will be the same but the there will be 4 teams per table.

3. Registration is done on a first come, first served basis by filling out the Town of Richmond Hill Registration Form with course code #419917 and dropping it off at any Community Centre. Please note that you must indicate to the club volunteers if you would like to play singles and/or doubles.
If the number of registrations exceeds the maximum numbers, we will develop a reserve list.  Those on the list may get a chance to play once all of the registrations for each category have been reviewed.
Registration begins October 15, 2013 and will close on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.

4Mixed Doubles partner draws and table draws will be done by Town Staff.
