A Gentle Reminder

The following is the email from Kim concerning the parking at Langstaff Community Centre. Please review carefully.

因為重鋪停車場的缘故，七月二日至八月二十日Langstaff 的泊車場將會部分關閉如下：

• 七月二日至七月三十日Red Maple Road 的入口會關閉，請由 Bantry 進入。
• 七月三十一日至八月二十日Bantry 的入口會關閉，請由 Red Maple Road 進入。

在這段時間內，停車場內只有少量泊位，同時請注意部分關閉日期可能有更改。

Could you please send the below information regarding parking at Langstaff Community Centre to your table tennis distribution list? 

Richmond Hill | Temporary Closures to Langstaff Community Centre Parking Lot – Construction July 2 to August 20, 2024

Please be advised, Langstaff Community Centre parking lots will be partially closed from July 4 to August 21 for resurfacing and relining. There will be limited parking available during these dates.

• From July 2 - 30: To access the Langstaff Community Centre and James Langstaff Park, enter through Bantry Avenue. The entrance at Red Maple Road will be closed.
• From July 31 - August 20: To access the Langstaff Community Centre and James Langstaff Park, enter through Red Maple Road. The Bantry Avenue entrance will be closed.

 The above dates are subject to change.

The following schedule and format for the tournament may be fine tuned depending on how things are going during the tournament. 

視乎比賽的進度，需要時我們可能作輕徵修改

Just like to remind everybody to be punctual so that we can start the tournament on time. So please be there before 8:30. DO NOT BE LATE.

The tournament will take the following format and time schedule. All matches are  best of 3 except for semi-final and final which will be best of 5.

為求二十四及二十五日能夠準時開始比賽，在此再請大家在八時三十分前到達 Rouge Woods. 切勿遲到。

以下是比賽的格式及時間表，準决賽及决賽都是五局三勝，全部其他比賽都是三局兩勝。

June 24

(1)  8:45 am to 10:30 am                    

Preliminary round robins for men's singles and women's singles.

男子及女子循環預賽

-There are 7 groups for men with 4 participants per group. The top two participants from each group, giving a total of 14 players, will advance to the championship round on the 25th.

-男子有七組，每組四人，每組成績最好的二位球員出線，總共十四人出線。

-There are two groups for women with 4 participants in one group and 3 participants in the other. The top two players in each group, giving a total of 4 players, will advance to the championship round.

-女子組有兩組，分別是四人一組及三人一組，每組最好成績的兩位球員出線。總共四人出線。

(2) 10:45 am to 12:30 pm

 Preliminary round robins for doubles.

雙打循環預賽

There are 4 groups with 4 teams in each of 2 groups and 3 teams in each of the other 2 groups. The top two teams from each group, giving a total of 8 teams, will advance to the championship round.

雙打有四組，其中兩組每組四隊，另外兩組每組三隊,每組成績最好的兩隊出線，總共八隊出線。

(3) 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Lunch Break

Doubles quarter-final,single elimination to generate 4 teams for semi-final.

June 25

(1) 8:45am to 9:15 am

Men's (R16),single elimination to generate 8 players for quarter-final

男子單淘汰賽(R16)以選出八位球員進入半準决賽。

(2) 9:15 am to 9:45 am

Men's quarter-final, single elimination to generate 4 players for semi-final

男子半準決賽,單淘汰以選出四位球員進入準決賽

(3) 9:45 am to 10:30 am

乒乓球友誼賽

 參賽者及義工，

今年的乒乓球友誼賽將如期于六月二十四及二十五日（星期一及星期二）在 Rouge Woods Community Centre Rouge Woods Community Centre 擧 行。

時間是星期一早上八時半至下午三時，星期二早上八時半至下午四時，請各位于八時半前到達中心，進入中心後請到球場入口處報到，再從貼在牆上的告示尋找你所屬的组合及相應的球桌。我們將會儘量在八時四十五分開賽，請勿離開你的球桌，我們没有足夠的時間及人力尋找參賽者。請大家不要遲到，否則可能被判賽輸。

一如以往，我們這個比賽的目標是大家開開心心比賽之外，更能增進友誼，但我們亦要遵守比賽規則，其中一項往往被忽略的就是發球規則，請大家發球時務必把球從張開的手掌向上抛起不少於16 厘米，同時對手必須清楚見到你發球的動作，否則發球是不合法而須要重發，重複犯規會被判失分。

另外大家需注意的是你們球拍上的膠片需要是國際乒乓球聯會（ITTF) 認可的膠片，這些膠片上都有 ITTF 標記，如你在這方面有問題或困難的話，可與我聯絡。

今年 Del Manor 將不會為我們供應午餐，所以請大家自備這兩天的午餐，不過中心會供給茶及咖啡。
