翻譯自俄羅斯的一首小詩：“短” 

看完後不禁自問得到什麼啟示？ 

 一天很短，短得來不及擁抱清晨，就已經手握黃昏！ 

 一年很短，短得來不及細品初春殷紅竇綠，就要打點素裹秋霜！ 

一生很短，短得來不及享用美好年華，就已經身處遲暮！ 

 總是經過的太快，領悟的太晚，所以我們要學會珍惜，珍惜人生路上的親情、友情、同事情，同學情，朋友情、戰友情。 

因為一旦擦身而過，也許永不邂逅！  

  20歲以後，『異鄉』與『家鄉』是一樣。 ( 去到哪，都能適應 ) 

 ● 30歲以後，『晚上』與『白天』是一樣。 ( 幾天沒睡，無所謂 ) 

● 40歲以後，『學歷高』與『學歷低』是一樣。 ( 學歷低的，反而賺多錢 ) 

● 50歲以後，『美』與『醜』是一樣。 ( 再美的，此時皺紋、黑斑老態也出現了。) 

● 60歲以後，『官大』跟『官小』是一樣。 ( 退休了，階級都一樣 ) 

● 70歲以後，『房子大』跟『房子小』是一樣。( 關節退化走不動，所需空間一丁點。) 

● 80歲以後，『錢多』跟『錢少』是一樣。 ( 再花，也花不了多少錢 ) 

● 90歲以後，『男人』跟『女人』是一樣。 ( 因為，沒人還能做那檔事 ) 

● 100歲以後，『躺著』跟『起來』是一樣。( 起來，也不知要做什麼？) 

您我的ㄧ生就是如此，差異不大。 

看開、看懂、看透了，人生不過是爾爾。 

 珍惜您已擁有的，找回您已失去的！

Adults 55+ Table Tennis Tournament

Dear friends,

The deadline for tournament registration is fast approaching. Please register if you have not yet done so. The centre is asking us how much refreshment they have to prepare for the event. So I need to let them know the approximate number of participants. Registration forms are also available in all the centres.

By the way, just to remind you that next Monday is Victoria Day and all the centres will be closed.

After meetings with the McConaghy staff, it has been decided that this year's Golden Games will be held on June 20 and 21, from 9 am to 4 pm at Rouge Woods Community Centre. There will be 3 categories, viz., men's single, women's single and open double. I am attaching the registration form for taking part in this game. Even though it states that the deadline for registration is May 27, I urge you to register as soon as possible so that we can plan the details accordingly. In addition to dropping off the completed form at McConaghy centre, you can also drop it off at any one of the other centres, namely, Rouge Woods, Oak Ridges, Langstaff and Bayview Hill. You can also scan and email to Yogi (as stated in the form) or to .me at charles.priscilla@gmail.com. Please support this function as it is an excellent chance to have fun and to meet our fellow players
