Oak Ridges will be hosting an open house next Wednesday(April 6) morning.  Normal table tennis drop-in program in the morning will be cancelled. Even though members can still go and play, some tables will be reserved for non-members to try out. Therefore, the centre can only accommodate a limited number of regular drop in members. 下星期三(四月六曰)是 Oak Ridges 的開放曰, 早上正常的乒乓球活動取消了,大家雖然仍可去打球, 但是不少球卓將只限給到訪的非會員打球 Charles Lee

Dear friends, Spring is finally here and it is time for us to consider resuming our tradition of holding a friendly annual tournament. To do so, we need the help of our members. Please contact myself or Yogi if you wish to volunteer. Late June or early July would probably be a good time to hold such an event. Therefore, we do not have too much time to organise the tournament. Please respond promptly. 陳文茜 朋友傳來一段不知出處的對話， 道盡多數人性之荒謬： 弟子問老 師：「您能談談人類的奇怪之處 嗎？」老師答道：「他們急於成 長，然後又哀嘆失去的童年；他 們以健康換取金錢，不久後又想 用金錢恢復健康。他們對未來焦 慮不已，卻又無視現在的幸福。 因此，他們既不活在當下，也不 活在未來。他們活著彷彿自己從 來不會死亡；直至臨死前，卻又 彷彿從未活過。」 人，而且多 數人皆活在上述狀態，所謂「生 命」簡直成了「無意義之氣 球」，在荒謬稀薄的空氣中，任 意飄浮；直至死亡之日，氣球落 下。 人生許多 終極核心的難題 是 : 「無論在任 何狀態下，人始 終不快樂。」 人貧困的時 候不快樂；富裕的時候也不快 樂。有工作的時候不快樂，失業 當然不快樂。健康的時候不快 樂，生病的時候更不快樂。 自小我們學 習許多課程，學數學「 1+1=2 」「 9-5=4 」，但我們 沒有學過人生何時該加、何時該 減才會快樂；我們學英文、學歷 史、學地理、學化學、甚至天文 學 … 宇宙大爆 炸，在某個點上、創造了生命， 偶然創造了我們。但人如何快 樂？所有我們學習的「課本」， 都少了這門課。 人有許多天 性，快樂、慾望、恐懼、嫉妒、 自戀、愛、恨 … 當我們把這 些天性列成一張表格時，赫然發 現快樂在人的本性中，佔的比例 非常少。如何在各種狀態中極大 化「快樂」，絕非理所當然，它 是一場萃取的物理，質變的化 學，相對的數學，智慧的藝術， 以及博而深奧的歷史學。 「快樂」比任何 學問都難。 賈伯斯一 生未曾快樂；直至面對死亡。 當死神逼近時，他珍惜家人，和從不承 認的私生女和解，戮力  iPhone  、 iPad  移動時代的 創造。那一刻，他的親生父母為 何遺棄他，他創辦的公司為何開 除他 … 一點都不重 要了。 他 珍惜還擁有的， 死神的腳步步步 逼近，他一天比 一天體會快樂的 價值。 他放下了一 切「怨與恨」，找到自己的價 值。賈伯斯不只是名天才，他永 遠改造了人類歷史，進入移動時 代；但很長很長的時間裡，這位 「天才」沒有能力從自己的創傷 中移動，找到快樂。 因此 聰明的人，在 「快樂」這門功課上仍可能得零 分 。事實上我們的家庭教育和「社會」大 學，拼命地教人如何盤 算、如何奪取、如何自我保護 … 所有該教人 「快樂」方法不教，反而教的儘 是慫恿人憤怒...
